Our most recent system that is remotely close to the Velocity R1 is actually a really good comparison. It was based around the Ryzen 7 2700X – an eight core sixteen thread CPU like the i9 9900X – whilst the GPU was the GTX 1080 Ti which is still a graphics card that munches through games without pause, and it was all water cooled just like today’s review. It’s all very close, although the Ryzen’s ability to solve encryption has always stood out.
