The H100i v2 is a 240mm rad based AIO and as such is smack bang in the middle of the most competitive area of the AIO market.  The box branding of the H100i v2 follows the yellow and black theme of the other Corsair coolers in the test, and is both striking and informative.

Yup, egg box card again, but hey, it does it’s job and is less bad for the environment than polystyrene so that’s cool.  Along with the fans you also get a fitting kit that is essentially identical to the H80i v2s, save that eight short screws are included for mounting to the case.

Although quite thick, the low permeability braided rubber tubes are quite flexible and resist kinking well.  At only 30mm thick, the rad will take up a total of 55mm of space when combined with the 25mm thick fans.

The large circular copper contact plate is large enough to provide sufficient coverage for even the largest enthusiast CPUs around.

The Corsair logo can be back lit by RGB LEDs, enabling the user to decide on whichever colour and brightness their heart desires.  We also quite like that the pump assembly comes ready fitted for Intel, although Corsair do provide an AMD bracket in the box.

With 21 fins per inch, the H100i v2 has the same fin density as the H80i v2, but has more water channels.  What’s a little odd is that when you look at the image on the Corsair website the rad appears to have 15 water channels, yet we count only 13 on the one we’ve been supplied for testing…Very strange indeed.

The fitting method for the H100i v2 is exactly the same as for the other coolers in the Corsair line, and is a doddle to be honest.  Start to finish it maybe took 5-7 mins to fit the whole thing, and that includes the slightly fiddly task of connecting the Corsair link cable to a USB header.

The H100i v2 sits rather nicely in the roof of our new test rig, with there being plenty of room for the braided tubing to flex gently as it traverses from the Rad to the Pump assembly.
