Up Close
My-my-my, that’s a big package you have there. Well, big things do need big boxes to come in, and the twin 140mm fan based Corsair H115i is no exception. Magnificent isn’t it!
As we’ve been banging on about how the boxes give detail with regards to specification and key features, we thought we’d best show you the sort of thing we’re talking about. Zoom up the image and you’ll see that all you need to know about the H115i is revealed.
at 312mm long the H115i is one of the biggest AIOs on the market, mind you, there are quite a few cases out there now that are designed with coolers such as this in mind, so that’s not such a big worry as it used to be.
The wider 140mm fan format allows for 15 water channels, the fin density though is the same so we guess Corsair are pretty happy with that layout. At just 26mm thick, the H115i doesn’t exactly push the boat out thickness wise, let’s hope its svelte frame is thick enough to shift the heat.
If you’re spending upwards of £100 on a cooler you want it to look smart and give you a warm fuzzy feeling inside. We think the added attention to detail that we’ve seen throughout the Corsair range will leave you smug and content with your purchase.
These hose terminations might look a little flimsy, but rest assured they’re quite robust. In the frenzy to get things tested it’s not uncommon for coolers to get a bit of a rough housing on their way into the case, and we can tell you these junctions stand up just fine.
So how do we get a 312mm long 280 rad into the roof of the MasterCase5? Well we could tell you, but we’d have to kill you. Let’s just say Mr Heath and Mr Robinson were in attendance. Let’s be honest, the less questions you ask the better, it’s in and that’s all that matters.
