Once upon a time the AMD CPUs really suffered in gaming benchmarks but that is no longer the case. You can also see that the extra CPU speed on the 2920X is just enough to beat out the 2970WX, because 3D Mark doesn’t fully utilise all 24 cores on the bigger Threadripper.
