AMD Ryzen 2nd Generation Threadripper 2920X and 2970WX Review

AMD Ryzen 2nd Generation Threadripper 2920X and 2970WX Review

Gaming

There is a feature within the AMD Ryzen Master software that shuts down a lot of the cores on the big 2970WX so that those badly coded games which throw a fit when confronted by such a mighty core count can still give you great gaming performance. We don’t tweak that particular toggle just as we wouldn’t if the Intel had a similar option. You can see that dropping down to the 12 core 2920X overcomes this hurdle and the results are good.
