AMD Ryzen 5 3400G Review

iGPU Gaming – Far Cry 5

Far Cry 5 has the potential to run with solid 30+FPS framerates when using AMD’s Ryzen 5 3400G APU, offering significant performance advantages over the 2400G at stock. 

Overclocking the 3400G’s iGPUs yields some strong results, almost achieving a steady 30+ FPS framerate at a native 1080p resolution. Not bad for an APU. It may not be maxed settings at 60FPS, but Far Cry 5 is more than polayable on the Ryzen 5 3400G.  

Again we see that AMD’s Ryzen 5 3400G benefits from strong memory performance. Perhaps higher framerates would be possible with stronger memory setups, but sadly our Ryzen 5 3400G wouldn’t boot with memory speeds of over 3200MHz when using some motherboards.
