AMD Ryzen 5 3400G Review

iGPU Gaming – Grand Theft Auto 5

Grand Theft Auto 5 is easily one of the most popular games of this console generation, with GTA Online being a regular port of call for both console and PC gamers alike. 

On AMD’s Ryzen 5 3400G, 1080p 30+ FPS framerates are easy to achieve, even with relatively high graphical settings. However, 60+ FPS framerates will be hard to achieve at all times without some graphical compromises. We have detailed the settings that we used below, but be aware that constant 60+ FPS framerates will require compromises, as our APU setup appears to be constrained by a factor that isn’t GPU or CPU clock speeds. Perhaps this is a memory bandwidth limitation, but we cannot be sure.  

 
We can see below that GTA V loves higher memory speeds at all resolutions, much like the other games that we tested.
