AMD Ryzen 7 1800X CPU Review

The Ryzen came to us in the best packaging we’ve ever seen for a CPU. Usually processors come in a box containing a cooler that only the insane would consider using, so it’s all quickly disposed with. The Ryzen 7 1800X came in this beautiful wooden box. Now we’re not sure if all the top end models will come this way or if it’s just something for the press samples, but dammit if it isn’t a thing of wonder. There is a bold confidence to the box design which fills us with hope. It’s been a long time since AMD released a CPU with quite so much fanfare as this.
