With so many cores on hand and able to run at some truly staggering speeds, the Core i9-14900K we use for our testing is a stern trial for all the newest Z790 motherboards. It really sorts the chaff out from the wheat. The MSI Tomahawk Max is the warmest of the six motherboards we’ve tested so far, although still well below any thermal threshholds. It’s less than this is bad, but that the others are excellent.
