Nvidia Depth of Field Performance

Nvidia GameWorks has been marred with controversy ever since it was first introduced, with many people claiming that using it would unfairly affect AMD’s performance in games.

Dying light is a GameWorks title, using Nvidia’s HBAO+ and Depth of Field effects. We have tested the performance impact of HBAO+ in the last page, but unlike HBAO+ Nvidia’s Depth of Field effect has little to no performance impact in Dying Light on both AMD and Nvidia GPUs. 

The performance difference here is marginal at best, so there really is not any reason to turn it off.
