Below we can see another instance where we can see how much the shadows in the game change as we move up the settings, with the shadows on the tree at the center of these screenshots having a huge increase in definition and quality as the shadow settings get higher.   

Here we can see how much distant details change as we increase the games graphical settings, where textures in trees change from large blocky green textures to individual leaves and the geometry in the distant mountainous terrain become much more complex and refined. We can also see some distance foliage that previously didn’t exist suddenly appear.
