Far Cry Primal PC Performance Review

4K Testing with AMD R9 Fury X and Nvidia GTX 980Ti

At 4K we see the opposite of what we had seen at 1080p, with AMD having a clear performance advantage over Nvidia, though the game is unable to achieve averages of over 60FPS on either the GTX 980Ti or R9 Fury X, at least in single GPU configurations.

At lower settings the game is very playable at 4K, offering were sharp details and fantastic visuals, but sadly GPU performance is just not high enough for us to have a fully playable experience with modern games when at the highest game settings.

If you want to have framerates of 60 or higher at 4K you will need to use a Multi-GPU configuration, but sadly we have not been able to test the SLI or CrossFire scaling of this game as we simply do not have the hardware to test it.
