Hitman Beta Performance Review

GTX 960 and R9 380 performance at 1080p

When playing the Hitman Beta we chose to test the most demanding location in the game that we could find, so consider this a worst case scenario for the beta version of the game. Please remember that this is a beta version of the game and that only Nvidia have released a new GPU driver specifically for this title, so expect performance to be higher in the final release of the game, especially since it will be able to be played with the new DirectX 12 API.

At 1080p with our mid range GPUs we were able to achieve framerates which can stay above a 40 FPS average on any settings below medium for both GPUs.

AMD’s R9 380 performs better than Nvidia’s GTX 960 in this title when it comes to average framerate, but the minimum framerates are very similar between both GPUs. Hopefully the final release of the game will have better minimum framerate performance, especially with the addition of DirectX 12.
