Paragon Beta PC Performance Review

1080p Testing with the GTX 960 and  R9 380

To benchmark this game we decided to test the first 60 seconds of a Solo VS CPU match in order to be able to provide a reproducible benchmarking run, that being said with this game in such an early stage of development this game performance has the potential to change drastically as soon as the next patch is released.

When looking at this games visuals it is very surprising to see that Paragon can already run at framerates of over 100FPS on today’s mid range GTX 960 and R9 380 GPUs, especially with the game being so early in it’s development. Typically early access games have terrible PC performance on both high and low end systems, but Epic has shown us here that early access does not necessarily need to mean that the game will have terrible performance.

We can see below that Nvidia’s GTX 960 performs best in this game right now when looking at the average framerate but when looking at the minimums we can see that both GPUs perform very similarly.

Both the GTX 960 and R9 380 are able to play the game at high settings with an average framerate of above 60FPS, which is great to see from such a visually appealing title, especially one in early access.
