Paragon Beta PC Performance Review

1080p testing with the GTX 980Ti and R9 Fury X

 

Moving onto today’s flagship GPUs we can see that both GPUs are able to provide average framerates of over 100FPS at even Epic settings, making this game perfect for those who use high refresh rate displays.

Again we see that the game performs better on Nvidia GPUs, this time giving the GTX 980Ti a substantial advantage over AMD R9 Fury X.  At this time it is expected that these performance issues on AMD are early access related, meaning that AMD’s performance will likely improve over time as the game is better optimized for the PC platform. 

With the game being in such an early stage of development it is great to see that the game is able to achieve such high framerates, as MOBA titles are games that are often played by low end PC gamers and must be expected to run on lower end hardware. Hopefully in time Epic can further improve the PC performance of Paragon, as right now it almost achieves the impossible by providing fantastic visuals while also providing great performance on PC.
