4K Screenshot Graphical Comparison

There is no need to beat around the bush on this one, when changing the graphical settings in The Technomancer not much in the world changes, be it draw distance or model quality. To put it simply all that changes when you crank up the settings in this game is how the world is “dressed”,

To put it simply all that changes when you crank up the settings in this game is how the world is skinned, be it with high resolution or lower resolution textures and how effects like shadows, SSAO and particle effects are added to the scene.

We can see when looking at environmental details like the ground and distant rocks that the textures see a huge improvement when moved to high or Ultra, with the largest differences being made between high and Ultra. Honestly, it would have been nice to have another Texture setting between High and Ultra in terms of quality, though we will go into that when we look at the games VRAm requirements later.

When looking at the shadows in this game it is clear to see that gamers should not be playing with anything below High shadows, with huge amounts of noticeable shadow aliasing at lower settings.

At low the shadows look so bad at times that it would have been better for the developers to have given gamers the option to turn shadows off, as at least that way they would not be an eyesore if your system cannot handle high or ultra shadows.
