Upgrading our games testing with Sapphire Pulse RDNA 4 GPUs

Assassin’s Creed Shadows

Assassin’s Creed Shadows – 1080p-to-4K

As mentioned before in this article, we’ve updated our original Assassin’s Creed Shadows PC review with data from our Sapphire RX 9070 XT and RX 9060 XT GPUs. Note that most of the performance data below comes from the game’s launch.

Assassin’s Creed: Shadows is a demanding game, even at 1080p. This is especially true when RTGI is enabled. The Sapphire RX 9070 XT tops our performance chart for this game, though it is worth noting that we have not tested Nvidia’s strongest GPUs. We are hoping that Nvidia will supply us with RTX 50 series GPUs for games testing soon.

At 1080p, AMD’s RX 9060 XT outperforms AMD’s old RX 6800 GPU and Nvidia’s RTX 4070. Not bad for a sub-£400 graphics card.

1440p

At 1440p, AMD’s RDNA 4 GPUs continue to deliver strong results. That said, this game’s maximum graphical settings can bring most modern GPUs to their knees. This is a game where upscaling is a must. Good thing this game supports AMD’s FSR 4 upscaler.

4K

Even at 4K, AMD’s RX 9070 XT can deliver a strong gaming experience. Even the RX 9060 XT can provide a decent 4K experience with the right settings. High settings with FSR 4 set to Performance mode will give gamers a good time.
