1440p Performance

At 1440p, it remains relatively easy to achieve average framerates of over 60 FPS, with Nvidia’s GTX 1660 Super acting as an almost ideal 1440p graphics card for Death Stranding. With this graphics card, 60 FPS framerates were achieved at almost all times during gameplay, which is great news for mid-range Nvidia fans. 

Nvidia’s RTX 2060 and AMD’s RX 5700 achieves solid 60 FPS framerates with ease, with the RX 5700 offering a huge performance advantage over its Nvidia original Nvidia rival. Sadly, we do not have an RX 5600 XT to compare to Nvidia’s RTX 2060, but we’d guess that its performance would be very similar to AMD’s RX 5700, given its specifications. That said, all RTX 2060 users need to do is activate DLSS’ quality mode and Nvidia will gain a huge performance lead and get better visuals in many areas of the game. 

When DLSS is activated at 1440p, Nvidia’s RTX 2060 becomes a high refresh rate 1440p graphics card, making it ideal for users of 100Hz 1440p VRR monitors.
