Dying Light: The Beast PC Performance Review and Optimisation Guide

4K Testing

4K

Native 4K gaming is hard on any GPU. Even Nvidia’s mighty RTX 5080 cannot maintain a solid 60+ FPS framerate at 4K in Dying Light: The Beast. That said, most of the GPUs below can be brought to, or above 60 FPS framerates using upscaling.

Note that 8GB GPUs, such as Nvidia’s RTX 3070 Ti and RTX 3060 Ti, are experiencing stuttering issues at 4K. This is due to their lack of VRAM. This gives us low 1st percentile framerate results. Using lower texture settings alleviates this.

With DLSS and FSR, Nvidia’s RTX 5070 and above can run this game at over 60 FPS. Adding on frame generation and high refresh rate 4K gaming is possible. You don’t need an RTX 5090 to have a strong 4K expereince in Dying Light: The Beast.
