F1 2018 PC Performance Review

1080p Benchmarks – AMD VS Nvidia

At 1080p, F1 2018 Ultra Settings can require some extremely high-end hardware, with only GTX 1070 and RX Vega 56-grade graphics cards or over being capable of achieving solid 60+ FPS gameplay.

Moving down to the games High preset or using intermediate settings will allow the RX 580 and GTX 1060 to achieve constant 60+ FPS framerates, placing 1080p 60+ FPS gameplay in line with the title’s recommended system requirements when using the game’s high Preset.

Our RX Vega 56 displayed some strange minimum framerate results when paired with our Intel i7 6850K at 4GHz, suggesting that Radeon-powered systems will be more CPU limited than its Nvidia counterpart, something which is common for DirectX 11 titles. You will see in our 1440p results, this low minimum framerate oddity disappears at higher resolutions, suggesting a CPU limitation.
