For Honor Closed Beta PC Performance Review

RX 480 VS GTX 1060 – Low, Medium, High, Very High and Extreme Settings

When comparing our AMD RX 480 and Nvidia GTX 1060 GPUs we can see that Nvidia has a clear performance lead in For Honor, which is unsurprising for a Nvidia branded game from Ubisoft.

At extreme settings at 1440p both GPUs are unable to achieve a steady 60FPS during online gameplay, though both GPUs are able to maintain average framerates of over 60FPS when using the game’s high graphical preset.

For Honor is played optimally at 60+FPS, especially when playing the game online. In Multiplayer a steady framerate is essential to success online, with the game automatically kicking players from online matches if their framerate goes under 30FPS. These two GPUs are clearly more than capable of running this game, even at a high resolution of 1440p.

These two GPUs are clearly more than capable of running this game, even at a high resolution of 1440p. Making these GPUs ideal for playing the game at Extreme settings at resolutions of 1080p and 256×1080 at 60+ FPS.
