Forza Horizon 5 PC Performance Review and Optimisation Guide

Forza Horizon 5 PC Performance Review and Optimisation Guide

Settings to change to get more out of your CPU on Forza Horizon 5

At OC3D, we have a desire to get to the bottom of any issues that we uncover. We saw that Forza Horizon 5’s performance at 1080p was CPU/memory limited and wondered what we could do to boost the game’s framerates. That line of thinking resulted in a lot of benchmarking.

The easiest way to boost Forza Horizon 5’s CPU performance is to reduce the game’s Environmental Texture quality and Environmental Geometry Quality settings down to high. Setting environmental textures to high will automatically reduce environment geometry quality to high. Beyond this, setting World Car Level Of Detail to high will also deliver a moderate framerate boost.

Note that Forza Horizon 5 does not need to be played at Extreme settings to look good. High settings look great, and even Medium settings can offer gamers a satisfying gameplay experience. Extreme settings are for gamers with extreme hardware. That said, Forza Horizon 5 looks phenomenal at 4K Extreme settings.
