Ghost Recon: Wildlands Closed Beta PC Performance Review

Ghost Recon: Wildlands Closed PC Performance Review

1440p Performance

Moving up to 1440p we can see that even the mighty GTX 1080 does not offer steady 60FPS gameplay, showcasing exactly how demanding this title is.

Remember that these results were using the game’s High preset and not Very high, which means that the game can become even harder to run with just a few simple clicks. Again we can see that Wildlands performs much better on Nvidia hardware, with Nvidia’s Pascal-based GPUs offering a lot more performance than their Maxwell counterparts.

On AMD hardware we can see that steady 30+ FPS gameplay can be achieved on the AMD RX 480 and R9 Fury X, though it does show that Ubisoft still has a lot of work to do before they can achieve respectable performance on AMD hardware. The R9 Fury X should not offer comparable performance to an RX 480, even if it uses a newer GPU architecture. Ubisoft will need to work on their performance on older AMD hardware, as this is frankly embarrassing.
