Ghost Recon: Wildlands Closed Beta PC Performance Review

Ghost Recon: Wildlands Closed PC Performance Review

VRAM Usage

VRAM wise Ghost Recon Wildlands closed beta is a strange release, requiring more than 2GB of VRAM to play at 1080p at low settings while never using much more than 4GB at 4K. With this being a Nvidia branded release it is surprising not to see higher resolution textures to make use of GPUs with 6GB or larger frame buffers, though it is nonetheless great to see that the game can still be used with 2GB GPUs.

In game VRAM usage is very similar to what can be seen in the game;s graphical option menu, which is good to see, especially when many other games use highly unaccurate measurements.
