1440p Performance – Benchmark Results

When cranking things up to 1440p we can see that all of the graphics cards we tested were able to play the game at 1440p 60 FPS, with the only exception being the Radeon RX 580. 

Only one setting needs to be changed to get Journey running at 60 FPS on the RX 580, and that is lowering Journey’s MSAA settings from 8x MSAA to 4x MSAA. In most of the game you will find it difficult to notice the difference in graphical quality, but the boost in framerate will be extremely impactful on gameplay. Lowering MSAA to 4x will bring the RX 580’s minimum framerate up from 42 FPS to 66FPS, which is an astounding performance change.
