4K 60FPS on Mid-Range Graphics Cards? Easy!

I know what you are thinking. 4K TVs are pretty cheap right now, and you want to push Journey to 4K60 on your mid-range graphics cards. The great news is that this is not just possible, it’s pretty easy. 

With our RX 580 and GTX 1060, both graphics cards were capable of steady 60 FPS framerates with two graphical tweaks. First, disable MSAA and second, turn the game’s Sand Detail setting from Ultra to High. Done, now you have 60 FPS gameplay at 4K. 

At 4K, the need for MSAA is greatly reduced, making the feature redundant if you desire a higher framerate. Not much of the game changes at these settings, and in the case of the RX 580, 1% minimum framerates are 3x higher. Not bad for an image that looks mostly identical.
