Monster Hunter Wilds PC Benchmark Analysis

1440p Testing

1440p Benchmarks

[Update – August 2nd 2025] Sapphire has sent their Radeon RX 9070 XT and RX 9060 XT Pulse graphics cards for games testing. This has allowed us to add AMD’s RDNA 4 GPUs to our recent games performance analysis articles. Data for these GPUs is now included below.

At 1440p, we see similar results as before. Note that AMD’s Radeon RX 7900 XT has similar average framerates at 1080p and 1440p. While some benchmark areas aren’t CPU-limited, the benchmarks’ main open area is. This area appears to be CPU-limited, maximising the game’s framerate at around 80 FPS on our Intel i9-13900K CPU.

At 1440p, it takes a Radeon RX 6800 to deliver 60+ FPS average framerates. Note that this is with DLSS/FSR set to “Quality” mode. Monster Hunter Wilds is a demanding game on PC, and its visuals don’t do enough to justify these high hardware demands. Has Capcom pushed the RE Engine too far with Monster Hunter Wilds?
