The PC-O7S has a predominantly open enclosure, with large areas of mesh at the front and wide open, or larger bore mesh in the rear. This allows a great deal of warm air to leave the case, but as none of these areas are filtered, it also allows a hell of a lot of dust to enter the case, especially as the fans in the roof are set to extract.
We already know the roof section that houses the 3x120mm cooling fans is detachable, but we thought we’d take it apart further to show you how it all goes together. As mentioned, there is a slide out filter up here, but it’s not going to be much use if your fans are extracting. you may wish to consider swapping the roof fans around to intake, that way a positive pressure will be established which might hopefully slow the pace of dust ingress.
The fans themselves are Jamicon Sleeve bearing units. Although very much OEM units, they are well built, quiet and will no doubt prove very reliable.
