Nvidia RTX 4080 Super Five Card Review
Gigabyte RTX 4080 Super Aorus Master
Gigabyte RTX 4080 Super Aorus Master
The Gigabyte Aorus range has been around for a while now. Like the ASUS ROG range it’s wholly made up of high end hardware. We’ve seen a few Aorus GPUs but never a Master. Does it live up to the name?
Certainly the back shows off all the key elements, including their famous Windforce cooling design. 110mm fans are not small.
As you might expect from something that is part of the Aorus range, the Master has plenty of accessories. The brace and stand will come in useful once you see the size of this beast.
Remember these are 110mm fans. Almost dwarfed by the shroud. It gives a glimpse to the raw size of the Gigabyte Master.
Around the back we find a very smooth, almost minimalist, backplate design. The Aorus Master boasts a huge cutout for maximum airflow too.
It’s absolutely gigantic. We said for the Founders Edition how you can visualise the size because you know how big the power connector is. Do that here and the triple slot Master makes itself known. It’s also aircraft carrier length. Tiny case owners need not apply.
Like so many Gigabyte products the Master has a Dual-BIOS switch. We don’t know why you’d spend this much money and then throttle the performance. You do you, though.
We’ll never tire of seeing so many copper heatpipes. What really strikes us from this photo is the amount of fins on the Aorus Master. Someone must have done the surface area math. It must be reaching football pitch levels.
The fans have carefully designed ridges to ensure maximum airflow without any dead spots. You can also catch a glimpse of the heatsink fins too.
As well as showing off the enormity of the heatsink, you can see the Master has three DisplayPort and a single HDMI.
