Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora PC Performance Review and Optimisation Guide

CPU Performance Scaling

Does the PC version of Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora require a beefy CPU?

Throughout our testing, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora appears to be a game that is primarily GPU-limited. The game makes efficient use of CPU resources, and runs well on our i9-13900K under all our test configurations. This game ran well with just 4 P-cores active.

To try and make the game as CPU-limited as possible, we tested the game with an RTX 4070 Ti at 1080p with DLSS set to Performance. Even then the game was primarily GPU-limited. While older CPUs with less single-threaded performance may struggle, this game appears to be very well optimised on the CPU side.
