At 1440p, Borderlands 4 is even more demanding. Even with our “optimised settings”, which are over 50% faster than “Badass” settings, our Radeon RX 9070 XT cannot keep this game above 60 FPS without upscaling. Clearly, Gearbox does not intend for PC gamers to play this game without DLSS, XeSS, TSR, or FSR.
With DLSS and FSR set to Balanced mode, Borderlands 4 becomes much more playable. Our Sapphire Radeon RX 9060 XT manages to keep the game above 60 FPS at these settings.
