Call of Duty: WWII PC Performance Review

1440p Benchmarks

Moving up to 1440p we can see that only the GTX 1080 stays over our constant 60+ FPS performance target, showcasing exactly how demanding certain section of Call of Duty: WWII’s campaign can be.

We can see in this test case that our R9 Fury X struggles when compared to the RX 480, a GPU that has less raw compute performance but uses a more up-to-date GPU architecture. This has been seen in other games before, showcasing some clear improvements to AMD’s modern GPU architectures.

Like most FPS games stable performance is more important than visual details, so for lower GPUs lower settings for Ambient Occlusion, Shadow map resolution and depth of field are recommended, as these graphical options can free up a lot of GPU horsepower.
