Call of Duty: WWII PC Performance Review

4K Benchmarks

Like all games, it is at 4K resolutions that we see Call of Duty WWII at its most demanding, placing even Nvidia’s GTX 1080 Founders Edition below an average framerate of 60FPS in our demanding test scene. For such a high resolution a more powerful GPU like the GTX 1080 Ti is required, though the GTX 1080 can achieve average framerates that exceed 60FPS in less demanding locations.

Sadly we do not have any RX Vega series GPUs to test at this time to add to our 4K graphs, so we cannot tell you exactly how well it performs in Call of Duty: WWII. If the comparison is anything like the RX 480 and GTX 1060 then its performance should be very similar to the GTX 1080, though with a test sample we simply cannot know.

For our GTX 1080 Founders Edition, it is clear that 4K is just a little too much for the GPU, requiring a lower internal render resolution and graphical settings to achieve a steady 60FPS average framerate. Perhaps our high settings at a render resolution of 1800p would be able to handle a constant 60+FPS.
