High-Resolution Screenshot/graphical comparison – Low to Max settings

In this second collection of screenshots, we move into the city of Paris, where changes in anisotropic filtering texture details and shadows can be more easily noticed.

Here we can see exactly what the game;s lowest graphical quality settings look like, with no casted shadows from objects and extremely low levels of texture detail on most objects. Even in this static screenshot, we can see a lot of visible shimmering on the edges of some objects and characters at the game’s lowest settings, most notaGermane german soldiers in the distance. This highlights the importance of Anti-aliasing, with the game’s recommended filmic SMAA eliminating this visual artefact entirely.

As we increase the game’s graphical settings we can continue to see increases in texture resolution as well as increases in shadow and ambient occlusion detail, increasing the overall quality of the scene.
