Devil May Cry 5 PC Performance Review

CPU Performance – Will Dante make your CPU Cry?

On the CPU-side Devil, May Cry 5 isn’t overly demanding, with strong quad-core processors keeping the game well above 60FPS. The only test configuration that posed issues was our dual-core setup, which sits below the game’s minimum system requirements. Even then the game stayed over 60FPS, albeit with momentary stutters in some locations.

An ideal CPU configuration for Devil May Cry 5 is a CPU with four cores and eight threads or more, as this is where the game functions at its best. At this point, we will only get more CPU performance if we used a higher clocked processor, but then the game is already over 100FPS does higher framerates really matter? Maybe if you want a locked 144Hz, but most screens with that refresh rate have some form of VRR integrated into them these days, so even that shouldn’t be a major concern.
