Forza Horizon 6 PC Performance Tested – 13 GPUs Tested

1080p Benchmarks

1080p Extreme Preset

The first thing that we will note at 1080p is that Forza Horizon 6 is CPU-limited when played on high-end GPUs at 4K Extreme settings, at least when FSR/DLSS are set to Quality mode. Nvidia’s RTX 5080, AMD’s RX 9070 XT, and AMD’s RX 7900 XT all deliver similar performance numbers. However, it is worth noting that AMD’s RX 9070 XT has notably higher 1st- and 5th-percentile framerates. This implies that AMD’s GPUs are less CPU-limited.

At these settings, the only GPUs that failed to deliver solid 60+ FPS framerates are AMD’s RX 6600 XT and Nvidia’s RTX 2070 SUPER. Later in this article, we will show you how lower presets allow both GPUs to easily shoot paste 60 FPS framerates on PC.

1080p Extreme + RT On Preset

With Ray Tracing enabled, more GPUs are pushed below our 60 FPS performance target. Now, AMD’s RX 6800 XT and Nvidia’s RTX 4070 and above are needed to deliver 60+ FPS framerates. Remember, this is with Forza Horizon 6’s highest graphical preset. With lower settings, all of the GPUs below can easily reach 60+ FPS.
