1440p Extreme Preset

At 1440p with Extreme settings, all the GPUs we tested below delivered an average framerate of 60+ FPS. That said, the RX 6700 XT and lower models do sometimes dip below that target. With Ultra settings, these GPUs will all run comfortably above 60 FPS. These benchmarks were run using Forza Horizon 6’s integrated benchmark tool, which simulates a demanding racing scenario.

Extreme + RT Preset

Adding ray tracing to the mix has a significant performance impact, sometimes causing GPUs as high-end as Nvidia’s RTX 4070 to dip below 60 FPS. Again, minor settings reductions will get many of GPUs, like the RX 9060 XT and RTX 4070, to be consistently above 60 FPS. For 8GB GPUs like the RTX 3060 Ti and RTX 3070 Ti, we see major performance drops.
