Star Wars: Battlefront II Trial PC Performance Review

Low-end GPU showdown -R9 380 VS GTX 960 – Is 2GB of RAM enough?

In some modern games, we have found that our older 2GB R9 380 and GTX 960 Strix GPUs struggle to achieve high framerates due to their small bank of VRAM, though this is clearly not the case in Battlefront II.

At Ultra settings these two GPUs do struggle to achieve a solid 60FPS in our test scene, though when we move the game down to high settings we see both GPUs achieve a steady 60+ FPS framerate at 1080p. This is great news for users of low-end or older hardware, as there is still plenty of room for adjustment to allow even older GPUs to achieve high framerates in this game.
