Star Wars: Battlefront II Trial PC Performance Review

AMD VS Nvidia – RX 480 VS GTX 1060 – Benchmarks from Low to Ultra Settings

When comparing our GTX 1060 (6GB) Strix to our RX 480 Strix we can see clearly that neither AMD or Nvidia have a clear advantage in this game, with the clock speed boost on most modern RX 580 series GPUs likely closing the small gap between Radeon and Nvidia in this title.

Both AMD and Nvidia lack final “Game Ready”/Optimised drivers for this title, which means that some performance improvements are likely before launch, though for now both GPU makers are neck and neck.

Just like the R9 380 and GTX 960 at 1080p both out RX 480 Strix and GTX 1060 Strix GPU models require a drop to high settings to achieve a steady 60FPS at 1440p, though it is clear that the game offers a lot more scalability judging from the high framerates that we see when using medium or low settings.
