XCOM: Chimera Squad PC Performance Review and Optimisation Guide

XCOM: Chimera Squad PC Performance Review and Optimisation Guide

PC System Requirements

Hardware-wise, the PC system requirements of XCOM: Chimera Squad aren’t much higher than that of XCOM 2, recommending 3GHz quad-core processors, DirectX 11 graphics cards and a minor bump in graphics card recommendations. Basically, if your PC can handle XCOM 2 with relative ease, you will have no trouble running XCOM: Chimera Squad.

XCOM: Chimera Squad PC Performance Review and Optimisation Guide

When it comes to graphical features, XCOM: Chimera Squad is far from being the most advanced game on the market. Some PC gamers will be sad to hear that FXAA is the strongest form of anti-aliasing that the game offers, resulting on visible jaggies at resolutions as high as 4K, and visuals that remain close to what XCOM 2 players should expect.

We would have prefered to see XCOM: Chimera Squad invest in a form of TAA or see the MSAA options from XCOM 2 return in XCOM: Chimera Squad.
