Graphical Settings Comparison Low, Medium, High and Ultra

Like our other screenshots, Yakuza’s low preset is a step too far when it comes to image quality, turning the game into a blurry mess with low-resolution textures, and immersion-breaking low levels of environmental detail.

Seriously, for the minor difference in performance, it will make, use Medium settings with a 75% resolution scale and high textures instead of the game’s Low preset. The performance difference will be minimal, but the game’s graphical changes will be significant.

When moving from Medium to High shadows become sharper, texture resolution increases and general scene detail increased thanks to the high preset’s use of 100% resolution scaling.

In this set of screenshots, we can finally see the graphical differences between High and Ultra settings, which are primarily in shadow LODs and in the sharpness of game shadows. Differences in geometry quality are also evident, but only in a minority of objects (see the cones beside the bicycles).

Shadows are more diffuse, and the shadows of distant NPCs are missing when using the game’s high settings, but during the game’s more common nighttime scenes these changes are tough to notice.
