Yakuza Kiwami 2 PC Performance Review

4K Performance – Benchmark Results

Native 4K eh? Surely throwing an £1100 graphics card at Yakuza Kiwami 2 will give us a steady 60FPS, right? Wrong! Yakuza Kiwami 2 only averages in the 50s in our test area and doesn’t even stay past 30FPS on our other high-end graphics cards.

The only way to get Yakuza Kiwami 2 to run at 60+ FPS here is to run the game with a lower resolution scale, delivering a sub-4K image. Even so, a 90% resolution scale or so should secure a steady 60FPS framerate, but to be honest, we expected a little better from this game.

Yakuza Kiwami 2 can be a great looking PC game, but it is hard to push past the feeling that things could have been done a little more efficiently. That said, this game is based on the PS4 version, and its 900p 30FPS performance wasn’t exactly a good baseline to start from.
