Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy’s benchmarking tool is incredibly CPU intensive, so much so that at Ultra settings (without ray tracing), our Ryzen 9 3950X based GPU test system offers similar performance levels at 1080p, 1440p, and 4K resolutions. Again, this is a benchmark that can easily highlight the performance advantages of newer processors.
Below, we can see performance advantages for Intel’s i9-13900K based NUC 13 Extreme system at 1080p, 1440p, and 4K. This is a proper showcase of the NUC 13’s gaming credentials, and why the NUC 13 Extreme can be considered as an incredibly capable gaming mini PC.Â
Total War Warhammer III
Using Total War Warhammer III’s Immortal Empires benchmark, we can once again see that Intel’s i9-13900K based NUC 13 Extreme system can wipe the floor with our aging Ryzen 9 3950X GPU test system. At 1080p and 1440p the benchmark results are not even close. The i9-13900K offers a much better gaming experience, and results like this highlight why we need to update our GPU test system in the near future. Â
