Gaming – Battery vs Mains

For our testing we picked both a medium detail setting usually involving FSR, and a pure 1080P one. The only game we didn’t was Horizon for reasons we previously outlined. You can see how plugged in you chiefly get the best performance. However, you can also see how the battery mode obviously has some backstage tweaking in place as it’s not that far behind. Given how comparatively lower the clock and storage speeds are in untethered mode, it must be tweaking things to keep your frame rate transition seamless. Remember these are tough titles too. If you run Silksong, The Blue Prince or other popular but less demanding titles you’ll get smooth gameplay all the time.
