ASUS ROG Xbox Ally X Review

Ally X Overview

Who doesn’t love a big box, and the ROG Xbox Ally X certainly comes in a big, protective box. I would look grand on your shelf if you wanted to show off.

Speaking of showing off, if you haven’t invested in a case, or just want it readily to hand, there is a stand supplied.

Here is is, showing off both the stand and the ROG Xbox Ally X itself. Aesthetically very much like other handhelds around, the Switch 2, Steamdeck etc. That’s the nature of human hand shape and familiar controls. We’ll delve a little deeper in a moment.

ROG Ally X Screen

Around the back there are two vents, including one in the ROG Eye shape, as well as a couple of extra buttons.

Against we’ll be covering the actual bits and bobs in more detail on the next page, but you can see how textured the surfaces are of the ROG Xbox Ally X.

If you’re familiar with ASUS Republic of Gamers arm you’ll know how much they love to brand their stuff. The Ally X definitely ticks that box. There is more ROG than Xbox here.

Lastly an overview of the triggers and input output bits. Again we’ll go into more detail on the next page. It’s always nice to have an overview though.
