Storage and Download Speed

One of those curious things we noted is how much goes on behind the scenes to extend your battery life. Just unplugging the cable, with no other changes, halves the speed of the onboard Samsung 1TB M.2. We know it’s not the most interesting fact in the world, but it shows how hard the OS works to make sure you’re not flat in 20 minutes.

With no LAN port and WiFi 6E the peak storage speed we obtained was 677.8 Mbps, although around 450 Mbps was a far more common average, its worth remembering youre only ever as fast as the slowest server youre connected to though.
