You might be wondering why we utilised the latest iteration of the ASUS Zenith II Extreme, and hopefully this graph will show you why. The newer model, the Alpha with its revised 90A power circuitry, barely breaks a sweat with the 3990X. The original design quickly runs into problems the moment you run it at anything but stock. Naturally we wanted to see how the original Zenith II compared to the other flagship motherboards and we’ll do that on the next page.
