Geekbench tests the single and multi-threaded performance of your system and is a good indicator of any weak spots, particularly if you’re overclocking. Even here, a benchmark which says it can handle everything is found wanting. The 3990X has too much junk in the trunk for the majority of benchmarks, and that’s no surprise as the idea of a usable 64 core desktop CPU was a pipe dream even 12 months ago.
