AMD Ryzen Threadripper 3990X 64 Core Monster Review
3D Mark
When it comes to our gaming benchmarks weâre always looking for chinks in the armour rather than expecting any massive differences between each setup. After all, these are so GPU limited that motherboards and processors donât have a large effect. It’s also why we’re not doing any gaming benchmarks today on this particular processor. When even video encoders are struggling to maximise the CPU, there is less than zero chance of a game doing so, and all our experience on high core CPUs shows this to be true. It’s the ideal demonstration of our maxim that, if you plan on gaming at all, you’re better of spending your budget on a big GPU than a big CPU.
