CPU Temperatures and Power Draw
Our CPU temperature testing is a juxtaposition between best and worst case scenarios. We run a seriously heavyweight CPU cooler, which shows the best use case, and then torture the system for 30 minutes to get our peak reading. Otherwise known as the worst case scenario. You wouldn’t expect to run 70+ threads without requiring suitably deep pockets for the power requirements, and the Xeons are no exception.
